The London College of Contemporary Arts has welcomed creative industry leader and entrepreneur Trenton Harrison-Lewis as its first Creative Director in Residence, bringing more than three decades of experience developing talent, building creative businesses and connecting emerging creatives with industry.
This unique role creates a direct link between LCCA and the creative industries, bringing Trenton’s experience, entrepreneurial expertise and extensive network into the College to support students as they build their own creative careers. Working alongside the Careers & Employability and Enterprise Hub teams, he will help develop new industry connections, partnerships and opportunities for students.
Trenton’s career spans entrepreneurship, artist management, A&R and creative business, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of A&R, Artist & Label Development at ADA/Warner Music Group. He has worked with names including Run DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy and A Tribe Called Quest.
Trenton said: “Talent is important, but talent alone is rarely enough. Access to the right knowledge, people, opportunities and networks can completely change the direction of someone’s career. For me, success in this role is about what we can actually create for students – not just what we can tell them.”
