COURSE STRUCTURE

What will you learn on a Global Business and Enterprise course?

You’ll progress from the core principles of global business, entrepreneurship and digital innovation to strategic leadership, business operations and data-driven decision-making, applying your learning through practical projects, business simulations, entrepreneurial challenges and applied consultancy-style projects. This two-year Foundation Degree also provides a pathway to Level 6 study, allowing you to progress to a full BA (Hons) Top-Up degree.

Year 1: Build your global business knowledge and professional confidence

In Year 1, you’ll develop a strong foundation in global business, entrepreneurship and digital innovation while building the academic, professional and practical skills needed to succeed in a changing business environment. Through real-world case studies, digital projects and entrepreneurial challenges, you’ll explore how organisations operate, create value and respond to global opportunities while developing the confidence and skills needed to progress throughout your programme. 

Business in a Global Context 
Explore how organisations operate within an interconnected global business environment. You’ll examine management principles, organisational structures and external influences such as economic, political, social and technological change while developing an understanding of ethical decision-making, sustainability, cultural intelligence and responsible business practices. 

Contemporary Digital Marketing 
Develop an understanding of how businesses connect with customers in today’s digital world. You’ll explore customer behaviour, market segmentation, digital channels, e-commerce and ethical AI tools while learning how organisations create effective marketing strategies that generate value and support business growth. 

Digital Enterprise and Innovation 
Discover how entrepreneurs use creativity, technology and innovation to develop new business opportunities. You’ll explore design thinking, digital business models and tools such as the Business Model Canvas while developing and pitching solutions that address real-world market needs. 

Academic and Professional Development 
Develop the academic, digital and professional skills needed to succeed in your studies and future career. You’ll build confidence in research, communication, digital literacy and employability while creating a professional foundation that prepares you for the global business environment. 

Year 2: Develop your strategic business and leadership capabilities

In Year 2, you’ll build on your global business knowledge while developing the strategic, analytical and professional skills needed to manage organisations in complex and changing environments. You’ll explore how leaders drive performance, how businesses improve operations and how data supports effective decision-making. Through practical projects, simulations and applied business challenges, you’ll strengthen your ability to solve problems, lead teams and create value within modern organisations. 

Strategic Leadership & Management 
Develop the leadership skills needed to manage diverse teams and drive organisational success. You’ll explore leadership theories, organisational culture and change management while developing your cultural intelligence, inclusive leadership approach and ability to motivate teams in complex business environments.

what are the entry requirements for this course?

Standard Entry:
Typical offer levels (e.g., 48 UCAS points) or equivalent international qualifications. 

Non-Standard Entry:
For applicants who do not meet standard academic entry criteria, a flexible entry policy will allow for: 

No formal qualifications are required, but applicants must have 2 years of relevant work experience and a level of English proficiency to be able to demonstrate understanding of business analysis, effective time management and working with others. 
For any non-standard entry, an interview will be required to assess an applicant’s ability to meet the Level 3 qualification criteria/ benchmark. 
Assessment via: A Personal Statement explaining motivation and experience and an interview to assess readiness for study. 
A written task to evaluate academic ability (if necessary). 
Other relevant and equivalent Level 3 UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis, and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds apply.
