LCCA recently had the pleasure of welcoming sixth form students from Ark Globe Academy, based in Elephant & Castle, South London, for a two-day immersive visit to our central London campus.

As part of the school’s wider initiative to help students explore future study and career pathways, the visit offered a valuable opportunity for students to experience a taste of university life in a creative environment. The programme began with a warm welcome and introduction to LCCA, followed by a thought-provoking session delivered by Lucy London, Dean of Social Sciences.

Lucy’s talk was designed to inspire students to think more deeply and critically about their futures, exploring the wider social and cultural impact of creative work. The session encouraged open discussion, curiosity, and reflection qualities that are key to succeeding in creative disciplines.

Adding another inspiring voice to the day, Daniela Magni, Youth Music Officer at our sister college LCCM, shared her personal journey through the creative industries. Her talk offered a real-world insight into what it takes to build a meaningful and rewarding career in music and media, leaving many students feeling motivated and empowered.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the LCCA campus, where students had the chance to explore our purpose-built creative facilities, from fashion studios and design workshops to digital labs. For many, it was their first opportunity to see what studying at a specialist creative college could look and feel like.

Mushtaq Ahmad, Outreach Manager at LCCA, said:
“This visit marked a real milestone for us, it was our first ever school group to visit the college. We’re incredibly proud to have hosted Ark Globe Academy and look forward to welcoming many more sixth form and college groups across London. Visits like these are a great way to open up conversations about creative careers and higher education, especially for Level 3 students who are beginning to map out their next steps.”
