During this year’s Careers Development Week, our Employer Engagement Consultant, Chantell Jones, played a big part in organising LCCA’s annual Business Fair. Now, she’s sharing her reflections on the day and why events like this matter for building connections between students, employers, and the wider community.
What a joy it was to host our recent Business Fair – an event that brought together not only our brilliant students but also members of the wider local community. Seeing the space buzzing with energy, ideas, and genuine connection reminded me why we do what we do. These moments matter. They build bridges, spark ambition, and create opportunities that ripple far beyond the day itself.
I’m especially proud of the wonderful partnership we’re nurturing with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Their presence and support added real depth to the event, and I’m excited about the many plans we’re shaping together for the future. There’s so much more to come – and it’s going to be good!
Internally, this was a true team effort. From the creativity of our Graphic Design crew to the precision of our Marketing team, the behind-the-scenes magic from Facilities, and of course, my own incredible Careers team – thank you! You made it happen and brought the vision to life.
Here’s to more events that uplift, connect, and inspire!
