LCCA hosted it’s first  Careers Development Week (CDW) last week. It’s been an inspiring celebration of creativity, connection and career growth. Running from 13–19 October, the week brought together students, employers, and industry experts across business, creative, and hospitality sectors to explore the future world of work.

From the Business Careers Fair with the DWP  to masterclasses, panel discussions and alumni talks, students had the opportunity to meet leading organisations including PwC, Cisco, , Computacenter, and many more. The energy across our campuses was incredible, with packed sessions, high engagement and overwhelmingly positive feedback from both employers and students.

Guest speakers such as Kat Maconie, Daniel Peters of Fashion Minority Report, Stephanie Yeboah, and Sadie Williams shared authentic insights into their industries and creative journeys, offering students practical advice and inspiration for building meaningful and sustainable careers.

A special thank you goes to all the colleagues who made this week possible. The Careers and Employability Team, Marketing and Production, and our industry partners worked tirelessly to create a memorable and high-impact experience. Your creativity, teamwork and attention to detail made all the difference.

This week has shown the very best of what happens when creativity meets opportunity,” said Nadim Choudhury, Director of Careers and Employability. “The enthusiasm from students and employers alike has been outstanding, and it is clear that LCCA is building a powerful bridge between education and industry.”
